K Dahl Glass bends these half cylinders from sheets of 3/8” plate glass to form a half cylinder shape with constant dimensions.  Bending glass is a process whereby a blank of sheet glass is placed on a stainless steel, sheet steel or cast iron mold in a glass furnace, or kiln. The kiln temperature is increased until the glass sheet sinks into or over the mold.  Plate glass as well as glass from the stained glass industry can be used to make half cylinder shapes.  Call us for specifications of molds in stock.  A variety of colors and textures are available.
